REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Kohler Waters Spa

>> Wednesday, September 15, 2010

So I managed to get out of the house yesterday without any kids tagging along... *except for the one in my tummy ;)

I was invited to visit the Kohler Waters Spa in Kohler, WI. It is located right next to The American Club. All I can say is wow. From the moment I drove into town I felt relaxed and stress-free! The entire town is beautifully taken care of, a sight in itself if you ask me. This spa couldn't be more perfectly located! I now know why they call it "Destination Kohler". I still can't believe I have lived 10 minutes away for over 8 years and have just finally discovered it!

I had an appointment for a Classic Facial at 9am, so I arrived at about 8:30, checked in, and headed to get changed into a luxurious robe in the locker room. Since I was early, I had some time to relax before my first appointment began and I decided to head to the glass enclosed rooftop deck. There is a gorgeous fireplace and 2 whirlpools alongside some very inviting lounge furniture. It was the perfect starter to my day of relaxation!

My facial was decadent! I have problem skin and always worry about sensitivity to products, but everything that she used on me was so gentle and was compatible with my specific skin issues. The ambiance in the room was incredibly relaxing. The lighting was low, the soft classical music in the background, and the heated table that was fully adjustable (and very comfortable) all helped to soothe me into a restful state. During my facial, I was also treated to a neck, shoulder, and hand massage along with a foot rub and moisturizing foot mask. By the end of this hour long pampering session, I couldn't even imagine my day getting any better. Seriously, could anything really top that?

After my facial, I headed upstairs to get my Neat Feet Pedicure. I was treated to a warm soak, lime salt exfoliating scrub, and warm stones between my toes. After a cooling mask had some time to work it's magic, I was finished off with a leg and foot massage followed by a pretty pink polish. I even got to take the bottle home with me!

Even though both of my treatments were finished with, I still did not have to return home. I could stay and use the spa amenities for the entire day if I wanted. There was a gorgeous relaxation pool with a waterfall, whirlpools, a sauna, a steam room, and refreshments throughout the building like water, fresh fruit, and nuts, just to name a few!

So, you are probably wondering what this all has to do with saving money, right? Even a couponista needs some pampering! Well, mark your calendars for September 20-26th because hundreds of spas and fitness centers all over the US will be cutting the prices for treatments and classes in half! There will even be some services offered for a flat-rate of $50. Here are the specials for Kohler Waters Spa in Kohler,WI:

Just last month I was invited by my sister to Spa Castle in College Point, NY. We both received a full body De- Stress massage in a private room. We paid a little extra to have our own room but it was so worth it. That was by far my ultimate spa indulgence!

Yay!! I am FINALLY able to do this. Wow, I feel dumb. Not really; I think I just need to go to a spa and get my favorite treat--a massage. It's been a LONG time since I have had a spa day (pre husband/child). :)

Hi, I am thrilled you had such a wonderful time, I am TOTALLY jealous you were there while I was on my feet all day working. Good for you! As for my favorite part of a spa would of course be the full body massage. I have had 4 total even one when I was 7 months pregnant and I will never forget the relief I felt. :)

I went with my sister for a spa day and got a full body massage for 60 minutes, oh my it was wonderful, well besides the lady taking nonstop but she very nice and I made sure to tip her well. Makes me crave a massage! I love pedicures and facials too. facials put me to sleep lol!

I never went to a spa before because with being a mother of 5 kids and wife and work i could never get a chance to go because my children are in different activites and a day at the spa is much past due for me. So what u r doing is an excellent idea and i really wish yall the best of luck.

I have never been to a spa. I do like pedicures, though. The soak and massage are very relaxing. I would love to get a whole body massage one of these days, though.

My husband was recently deployed to Iraq and before he came home he set up a day of pampering for me. I got a massage and facial and the next day, I went and got a pedicure and manicure. It was so nice to have some me time after 8 months of taking care of our two little ones, and everything on the home front.

I have never been to a spa, either. I do go down to a beauty school and have them give me a
pedicure every couple of months.

I love going in for a full bod message, but if it's combined with a manicure and a pedicure, then I'll be happy for long time!

I love going to the spa and getting a full body massage. I feel like a noodle every time I walk out of there! If I'm feeling extra adventurous, I also get a pedicure!
