My $.27 Walmart Shopping Trip!

>> Monday, April 25, 2011

I ran into Walmart to use up a few coupons that were set to expire at the end of this month and ended up walking out with all of the items pictured (4 bottles of Woman's Nivea Body Wash, 2 bottles of Men's Nivea Body Wash, 2 bottles of Frank's RedHot Sauce, 2 bottles of Heinz Ketchup, 2 jars of Beech Nut baby food, 1 box of Beech Nut baby cereal, 2 Degree deodorants, and 3 packs of trial size Cascade Action Pacs)  and only paid $.27!

Now I am looking forward to getting in to Target in the next day or two - there are lots of great deals lately!!

Nivea body wash is $3 at Wal-Mart, and there was a $3 off coupon in last week's paper, one for men and one for women. Heinz released a printable $2 off coupon that you could print 2x. That's the only ones I can think of off the top of my head, LOL!

The Nivea is $3 at my Walmart which probably made hers free. The Ketchup was $1.98 but she had $2 off coupons from fb so she had overage on those. Franks Hot Sauce is .83 cents and there are $1 off coupons on fb which she had overage there. The Degree deodorant's are .97 cents and she had $1 off any Degree doedorants from SS or RP she had overage there. I'm not sure how much the Cascades where but she more than likely had at least $1.00 off coupons for them. Not sure on the baby products.

how do you get so many copies of the coupons (i.e. nivea).. do you just buy multiple newspapers? Do you figure this into your cost since each paper cost $1-2 (mine is $1.75..so if the only coupon I end up utilizing is $3 off $3, making it 'free', I consider the item to have cost $1.75 still). Or do you end up using a pretty big majority of your coupons?

sample1987, our Sunday paper is as expensive as yours but I was able to find subscription for $.38/issue so got two subscriptions right away so I'd have pairs of coupons for the BOGO deals and such.

I didn't know you could use the Degree coupons on these small ones? I have to try it next time!

please check this site http://www.cents-off.com/coupon-fraud-list.php?st=84bc3 it says the the nivea $3 nivea coupon is counterfeit. i don't know what the nivea coupon insert looked like since we don't have it on our inserts 2 weeks ago.. i hope its not the same as the fake one.

Just wanted to finish this off. The cascade trial packs are .97 at my walmart. The coupons I had were from p&g's facebook a few months ago where they gave out a $100 coupon booklet. The coupon was $1.00 off any cascade! I think that coupon was also in the newspaper and the baby cereal come from the beechnut welcome kit a few months back . It was for a free box of baby cereal.

re: Nivea coupon being on the fraud list...if you look closely at the coupon you will see that there is an expiration date of 6/30/12, obviously NOT the coupon that was in the Sunday papers or released on the coupon source websites.

Wasn't the Franks Hot Sauce coupon offered on FB only good for 2 specific flavors & not the plain? The flavored aren't available in that small bottle.

On the franks, I believe it just said to try our new flavors not that you had to buy them.

I'm curious too as to how you did this? It would be helpful if you could go into detail like DesignGran said, and if your final cost is factored as sample1987 described? Thanks bunches! :o)
